Queqiao-2, or Magpie Bridge-2, lifted off atop a Long March 8 rocket from Wenchang Satellite Launch Centre on southern China’s Hainan island on the morning of March 20, 2024, according to the China National Space Administration. China launched the Queqiao relay satellite to support its Chang’e 4 mission, which was designed to explore the dark side of the moon.
