Cambodian artist Mean Tithpheap has created over 40 sculptures in the last four years using a very unusual medium – old tyres from bicycles and motorbikes. His sculptures depict everything from monsters to heroes, including King Kong and dinosaurs, as well as a cobra, the Monkey King and Captain America. The artist said he hopes to inspire others to find creative ways of reusing discarded rubber and plastic as a way of reducing the country’s growing waste-management problem.
