British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Sunday May 10, 2020, announced a loosening of the UK’s coronavirus lockdown rules. He unveiled the new slogan “Stay Alert, Control The Virus, Save Lives,” to replace the previous government message, “Stay Home, Protect The NHS, Save Lives”, used when the coronavirus pandemic started. But Johnson faces a backlash from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, marking the first serious fracture in the nation’s united front regarding how it should fight Covid-19.
