I see this all the time in casework as a councillor and the ‘local connection’ rules are the worst – leaving many people with nowhere in London they do qualify, just for moving across borough boundaries.
I’m in this near the end on this talking about how we’ve recommended in the Housing Committee that the Mayor should help make things more consistent and close the gaps.
