Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today apologised to Sonia Gandhi and told her he won’t run for Congress President; he took “moral responsibility” for the Rajasthan revolt. The Congress said Sonia Gandhi will decide “in a day or two” whether Mr Gehlot would remain Chief Minister. “Ashok Gehlot is a staunch Congressman and will always be loyal to the party…his decision to stay away from the Congress President poll seems to be final. He is the Chief Minister of Rajasthan; whether he will step down – I cannot say,” said former Finance Minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram.
