Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus discusses the controversy of Wurundjeri elder Aunty Joy Murphy being excluded from an event featuring former US President Barack Obama.

“Aunty Joy … has said that she was left ‘shocked and distressed’ after the organisers of Obama’s speaking event in Melbourne had apparently told her according to her, she was being too difficult,” Ms Marcus told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“They issued an apology to Aunty Joy and they said you can do the welcome to country at a lunchtime business lunch that Obama was holding.”
