Dozens of people attended a rally in Hong Kong on March 5, 2023 to call for an end to violence against women and girls. Hong Kong’s rally is part of the global One Billion Rising campaign, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. The event normally takes place around Valentine’s Day globally, but the rally in Hong Kong was postponed to make way for the Hong Kong marathon on February 12 and to allow the group to obtain proper permits from local authorities.
