The game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati-11’ is wooing the audience with some contestants who not only have a story to tell but also share a message. They are also real-life heroes who have fought their battles. One such Karamveer will appear on Hot Seat this week who saved Amitabh Bachchan 35 years ago. Sony TV has also shared a glimpse of this episode on its Twitter handle. That’s why Karmaveer is Dr. Bhograju Ramanna Rao: Padmashri Dr. B. Ramanna Rao of Bangalore runs a free clinic. Where he is accompanied by his sons Charit and Abhijeet who treat the poor free of cost. Dr. Ramanna’s father inaugurated his free clinic on 15 August 1973, the second day after taking his MBBS degree. The clinic first started in a tent, at T Begur, about 35 km from Bengaluru. This trend has been going on for the last 46 years. About 1000 patients arrive at the free clinics held every Sunday. Patients start getting in line from 3 o’clock in the night. Dr. Ramanna told the whole story In 1984, when Amitabh Bachchan was facing serious illness, a doctor was called to treat him, he was none other than Dr. Karamveer Dr. Ramanna Rao. Ramana Rao said- “Manjunath Hegde, who is Amitabh Bachchan’s team member, called me at 1:15 in the middle of the night. He asked me to help one person and also told me that it would change my life. Ramanna further said- I fulfilled my doctor’s duty, I reached the place mentioned within just 10 minutes, where I saw Amitabh Bachchan battling a serious illness. He was given proper treatment so that he could recover well and return to his shooting. Dr. Rao, after treating Big B, made a request that he want his autograph so that his wife (Hema Rao) could believe it To see that he had met the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Hearing this, Amitabh Bachchan recalled that moment and was shocked to see him again after 35 years on the set as Karamveer.
