Supreme Court judges in Thailand are expected to rule within the next 24 hours on whether a political party is to be banned from next month’s general election.
Thai Raksa Chart chose the King’s eldest sister to be the party’s candidate for prime minister.
But the royal family stopped her bid for power saying royalty should be “above politics”.
The party is backed by former Prime Minister Taksin Shinawatra deposed in a military coup 13 years ago.
Al Jazeera’s Wayne Hay reports from Bangkok.
