Senegal’s currency has become a topic of debate ahead of its presidential election at the end of this month.
The CFA franc was introduced by France in 1945 and is used by 14 West African nations.
Some Senegalese are opposed to it saying it’s a legacy of colonialism.
Al Jazeera’s Nicolas Haque reports from Dakar.
