Israeli fruit, vegetables and poultry will no longer be available in Palestinian shops.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) is stopping all Israeli imports after Israel’s agriculture minister ordered a similar ban on imports from the occupied West Bank – despite Israeli warnings that the Palestinian economy would not be able to withstand the blow.
Mustafa Barghouti, secretary-general of the political party Palestinian National Initiative and former Palestinian information minister, tells Al Jazeera why he believes the PA’s ban is too little, too late.
