रायबरेली से नामांकन करने के बाद यूपीए चेयरपर्सन सोनिया गांधी ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी पर निशाना साधा. उन्होंने कहा कि नरेंद्र मोदी अजेय नहीं हैं, आपको 2004 के नतीजे भी याद रखने चाहिए.
वहीं कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि वह प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को खुली चुनौती देते हैं कि वह भ्रष्टाचार पर उनसे बहस कर लें. अगर पीएम मोदी हां करें, तो वह उनके घर पर आने को तैयार हैं. राहुल ने कहा कि बहस हुई तो पता चल ही जाएगा कि चौकीदार चोर है.

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections begin today with voting for the first of the seven phases. Voting will be held in 91 Lok Sabha seats in as many as 20 states and Union territories. Besides this, people in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha will also vote for their respective assembly elections.
The Election Commission of India has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure the polls are conducted in a free and fair manner.
There are a total of 14.21 crore electors in phase 1, of which 7.22 crore are male and 8.99 crore are female. The Election Commission has set up 1.70 lakh polling booths for the first phase of 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
A total of 1,279 candidates are in the fray in the first phase. A total of 83 of these are from the BJP, 83 from Congress, 33 from BSP, 26 from YSR Congress, 25 from TDP, 17 from TRS and 1,279 of them are Independents and others.
लोकसभा चुनाव के पहले चरण का मतदान सुबह 7 बजे से शुरू होने वाला है. पहले चरण में 20 राज्यों की 91 सीटों पर मतदान होगा. पहले चरण में 14 करोड़ से अधिक मतदाता 1279 प्रत्याशियों के भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे. इसके लिए 170664 पोलिंग बूथ बनाए गए.
पहले चरण में उत्तर प्रदेश की 8 सीटों, उत्तराखंड की सभी 5 सीटों, आंध्रप्रदेश की सभी 25 सीटों, अरुणाचल की 2, असम की 5, बिहार की 4, छत्तीसगढ़ की 1, जम्मू और कश्मीर की 2, महाराष्ट्र की 7, मणिपुर की 1, मेघालय की 2, मिजोरम की 1, नागालैंड की 1, ओडिशा की 4, सिक्किम की 1, तेलंगाना की 17, त्रिपुरा की 1, पश्चिम बंगाल की 2, अंडमान और निकोबार की 1 और लक्ष्यद्वीप की 1 सीट पर मतदान होगा.
