Paul Allen, the cofounder of Microsoft, has died of cancer at the age of 65.
Aside from being a pioneer in the world of computers, Allen was known for his philanthropy. He founded the Museum of Pop Culture – originally called the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum – in downtown Seattle, as well as involvement in other, more esoteric projects, like underwater archaeology.
Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports.
