Uganda vote: Internet partially restored but social media blocked
A nationwide internet blackout ahead of elections in Uganda has been partially lifted.
Social media platforms are still blocked, and can only be accessed using virtual private networks, which bypass the restrictions.
Now that President Yoweri Museveni has been declared the winner, it remains unclear how long the ban will continue.
