French President Emmanuel Macron has won a second term in office, defeating his far-right rival Marine Le Pen by a comfortable margin in a runoff election.
His supporters erupted with joy on Sunday as the results appeared on a giant screen at the Champ de Mars park by the Eiffel tower. Leaders in Berlin, Brussels, London and beyond welcomed his defeat of the nationalist, eurosceptic Le Pen.
In his victory speech, Macron acknowledged that many had only voted for him only to keep Le Pen out and promised to address the sense of many French that their living standards are slipping.

Nobody can wish away the presence of strong right-wing politics in France. That´s a good balance. I am happy that Macron has won. Right wing is also necessary to combat Islamism and the erosion of French culture. This comes from me as an immigrant who wants to live in a free Europe where a Jew doesn´t have to walk with fear, where a person of the LGBT community will not get beaten up because they hurt the religious sentiments of some immigrants groups with a different religion

पाकिस्तान के गुरुघंटालों को
एक टीम बनाकर
भारत आकर
यहाँ के राजनैतिक विषयों के,
शीर्ष प्रतिनिधियों और
राजनीतिज्ञों के साथ मिलकर
कोई ठोस, ऐश्वर्यदायी नीति पर
विचारना चाहिये।
