Some Japanese seniors are using joysticks, headphones and LED keyboards as tools to fight loneliness and isolation at a new gaming facility in the city of Kobe. The ISR esports centre is the nation’s first gaming facility set up exclusively for people aged 60 years and older. The sessions, consisting of 90 minutes of gaming and 30 minutes of teatime, allow seniors stress-free time to play and mingle with others.
