The International Coastal Cleanup began more than 30 years ago, when communities rallied together with the common goal of collecting and documenting the trash littering their coastline. Now it's global event as plastic and other trash invade beaches across the world. In Senegal, The country is choking on plastic waste, tens of thousands of tons of it ending up in the ocean every year. A problem that is not only threatening the coastal population but also the economy.
