Sri Lanka's United National Party says it will legally challenge President Maithripala Sirisena's decision to dissolve parliament and hold snap elections in January.
Sirisena had earlier fired Ranil Wickremesinghe as the prime minister and replaced him with former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.
